Maria Chin quits Bersih to join politics

 Bersih 2.0 chairman Maria Chin Abdullah has announced she is quitting the election reform body to contest in the coming 14th general election (GE14).

She is offering herself as a candidate for this coming PRU14 as an independent to Pakatan Harapan

Maria would replace either PKR vice-president Tian Chua in the Batu parliamentary constituency or his party colleague, Hee Loy Sian, in Petaling Jaya Selatan.
