Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin is also said to be contesting at both state and federal levels.

Talk is that Khaled, who is currently Permas assemblyman, will be fielded in the Pasir Gudang parliamentary seat as well as a state seat.

Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir is tipped to contest the Lumut parliamentary seat, and Pangkor state seat 


In Kelantan, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed is also expected to run for seats in both the Dewan Rakyat and state assembly.
 


widely speculated that Perak MCA chairman and senior state executive councillor Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon will contest the Tanjung Malim parliamentary seat and defend his Chende­riang state seat.
 

In Opposition grouping Pakatan Harapan, both Penang Chief Minis­ter Lim Guan Eng and Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali are MPs and state assemblymen.

PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail also holds two seats, namely Permatang Pauh (parliamentary) and Kajang (state).

PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang is also the current MP for Marang and assemblyman for Ru Rendang, both in Terengganu.

Hadi also held both seats after the 1999 general election, where he led Terengganu as mentri besar until 2004.

Penang Deputy Chief Minister II Dr P. Ramasamy also used to hold two seats.
