Jamil Khir Baharom

Dato' Seri Jamil Khir bin Baharom (born in Yan, Kedah) is a retired major general in the Military Religious Corps of Malaysia (Kagat) who is currently a Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Islamic Affairs. Prior to his ministerial appointment, Jamil Khir served as director of Kagat.

Idris Jala

Dato' Sri Idris Jala, who is from the Kelabit ancestry, is the current Minister without Portfolio in the Prime Minister's Department and chief executive officer of the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu). He is a Senator in the Dewan Negara, upper house of parliament.

Before that, Idris used to work for Shell. In 2005, the Malaysian government elected him as CEO of Malaysia Airlines due to massive losses of the company. In February 2006, he announced the airline's business turnaround plan from a 9-month loss of USD400 million in 2005 to achieving a record profit of USD260 million in 2007 until September 2009.

In May 2008, Idris appeared on national television announcing the airline's first ever 'zero fare' for domestic and a selection of international flights, a move that raised his spat between him and AirAsia’s boss, Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes to a new level.

Idris Jala is a Kelabit from Sarawak and is a Christian. He is one of non-Malay non-Muslims to have been appointed to head a GLC.^[1]

Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah

Dato' Seri Ahmad Husni Mohamad Hanadzlah is the current Second Minister of Finance of Malaysia.^[1] He was appointed on 10 April 2009 when Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak became Prime Minister. He is also the Member of Parliament for Tambun.^[2]

Husni was educated at the University of Malaya. He entered the government sector in 1984 as general manager of the Perak State Islamic Economic Corporation.^[3] Ahmad Husni was a Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry and Deputy Finance Minister before becoming a minister.^[3]

Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz

Dato' Seri Mohamed Nazri bin Tan Sri Abdul Aziz is a Malaysian politician from the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), and is as of 2008 a Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of parliamentary affairs.^[1]

Datuk Seri Noh Omar

Datuk Seri Noh bin Omar is a Malaysian politician. He is the current Minister for Agriculture and Agro-based Industry and the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Tanjong Karang constituency in Selangor. He is a member of the United Malay National Organisation (UMNO) party in the governing Barisan Nasional coalition.

Noh was appointed to the Cabinet of Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi after the 2008 election as Minister for Entrepreneur and Co-operative Development.^[1] On 10 April 2009, he was appointed as Minister for Agriculture and Agro-based Industry by Abdullah's successor, Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak.^[2]

Dato Sri Ir Mohd Zin Mohamed

Dato' Sri Mohd Zin Mohamed is a Malaysian politician and is currently the Member of the Parliament of Malaysiafor the Sepang constituency in Selangor. He is a member of the United Malay National Organisation (UMNO) party in the ruling Barisan Nasional government.

Mohd Zin became the Minister for Works after the 2008 election, replacing Samy Vellu.^[1] However, in April 2009, Mohd Zin was dropped from the Cabinet by incoming Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak.^[2] He had earlier served as Deputy Minister for Works.^[3]

In November 2009, Mohd Zin was appointed as the Chairman of Keretapi Tanah Melayu, peninsular Malaysia's main rail operator.^[4]

Mansor Othman
